Newly Admitted
Congratulations on your admission to SDSU's College of Engineering! We are excited to welcome you and to provide some resources to help in your transition. If you haven't already, make sure to check your email for the link to sign up for New Student Orienation (NSO). This is an important time when you will meet with the Advising Team to review important information and get your upcoming semester schedule set. If you have any questions about NSO, please reach out to the New Student & Parent Programs (NSPP) Office.
Now That I'm In, What's Next?
First-Year Students
Make sure to review the First-Year Steps to Enroll found on the NSPP website. It contains important information and links for your successful start at SDSU. We want to highlight a few here:
- Sign up for NSO
- Send your official high school transcript
- Send AP & IB scores as soon as available
- Send community college transcripts, if applicable (cross-enrollment)
- Take the Math and Chemistry Placement Exams
If you completed the Student Success Pathways Preference Form and opted into being pre-registered, you will have classes prepared in your schedule to review during NSO. All students who opted in, opted out, or didn't complete the Preference Form will have the chance to review and edit their schedules during NSO. All first-year students will also be pre-registered into ENGR 101, a one-unit seminar that is a part of the First Year Experience.
