Change of Major

Change of Major Criteria

If you are interested in changing your major into one of our engineering undergraduate programs, you must meet the Criteria for Change of Major at the time in which you are interested; review the appropriate criteria below. If you do not yet meet the criteria, please reach out to your Coordinated Care Advisor or current Major Advisor to discuss your options. Please note that the crtieria that you are required to meet could change at any time. If you are looking to apply to SDSU, please visit the Admissions Office Website.

CompE MATH 150 & 151, PHYS 195 & 196, COMPE 160, and EE 210
ConE MATH 150 & 151, CHEM 202 or 200, PHYS 195 & 196, and CIVE 225
ConM MATH 150, PHYS 180A & 180B, CHEM 100, and CIVE 225

All of the posted classes must be passed with a grade of C or better. You must have a 2.7 GPA or higher (or a 2.5 for Construction Management). Additionally, no more than two (2) course repeats are allowed; this includes all coursework. Make sure to review the posted criteria attached below for each program:

All course prerequisites must be met. All students must have at least 15 units completed at SDSU. Submit the Interest Form at the end of the semester in which you will complete the criteria only once; subsequent submissions move you to the end of the queue.
