Impaction Criteria

Are You on Track to Move Into Your Major?

Most majors at SDSU are impacted, which means that there are more students than there are spots in upper-division classes. In order to move from pre-major to major status, you must complete your program's impaction criteria. The College of Engineering is unique that impaction criteria is a subset (small amount) of the lower-divison coursework that you must take. Take a look at your program's impaction criteria below and how it is planned out.
